Speaker 0 00:00:03 The Speaker 2 00:00:22 All right, welcome to the France center podcast, everybody. Uh, today we got Scott behind the, uh, microphone we brought in Elizabeth in front of, uh, people really liked Elizabeth being, uh, you know, in front of the camera better last week. So, you know, we, we brought her back. Um, we got Janine, uh, Janine Albert. We grew by Albert. I joining us. I do joining us yesterday. I Speaker 3 00:00:43 Changed my name. Yes, Speaker 2 00:00:44 Albert, nice from Sable boutique. And, um, you know, she's been nice enough to join us today. Talk about, uh, she gonna tell us a little bit about the boutique. We call it a boutique. We call it boutique. I'm not, I'm not like that's that UHS boutique. Yeah, Sable boutique. And, uh, she's gonna tell, we're gonna talk a little bit about, um, the, you know, the free frame Friday that we teamed up for on, uh, to, for your fashion show. Um, that was really nice for the empower her yeah. Empower her group, which, you know, I think is actually, so funny enough, I actually had someone yesterday, um, Erica Kaufman's daughter. Oh yeah. Ella was in yesterday and she was telling me about, about how she's doing like a song and like with the power Speaker 3 00:01:33 Pulmonary song, maybe. Speaker 2 00:01:35 Yeah. She said she wrote a song for it's kind of a tough conversation, but I'm sure she seemed like she was in like really good spirits. And she was, yeah, I know that Scott had posted some stuff about, uh, empower her too. Yeah. And that was one of the reasons why I wanted to get involved and do something with you. Speaker 3 00:01:52 I know that I had heard that through, um, worrying Alex's mother about her. Yeah. So that was like another thing I'm like, oh, it's so great to like hear other girls and just like people that we know that are involved in it. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:02:04 So that, I, I think so. I think it was a, you know, it was a, I thought it was a cool thing. The fashion show was a big hit. I saw the, some of the pictures. I didn't get to attend the fashion show and maybe next, maybe next year we'll send Elizabeth down to the fashion show Speaker 3 00:02:16 Next year. We're definitely gonna expand it. So yes, Elizabeth, you definit, Speaker 2 00:02:21 You Speaker 3 00:02:21 Can be a model. You can definitely model, Speaker 2 00:02:24 But nice. It, it was great frame center. Again. I thought it was a, a cool event. I have some, some ties to that, that sort of thing with my, my, uh, situation growing up too. I'm not, uh, not a, uh, I'm not a girl, but it's similar situation. So it kind of touched home for, for me. So like, I, there was one of the reasons why I wanted to like, kind of like, Speaker 3 00:02:45 Didn't you realize that too healthy yet. They are expanding to boys, young boys who have lost their mother and fathers, I think too. Yeah. So, Speaker 2 00:02:53 Yeah. Nice. I think thought it was a good thing. You get a good reaction. I don't to, to the listeners that didn't know, I saw some of that stuff on, on Facebook, on, on Instagram, I talked to Alex, coincidentally, who was down here, shooting some hockey parks with me. This is the course, you know, and I wanted to do something and Speaker 3 00:03:10 You way to do that, I'll sneak it in. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:03:12 Um, we, you know, I wanted to do something do I'm always looking for something on Fridays to send frames out too. And that seemed like an awesome one. Yeah, we did a whole bunch. We, me and Claude came down, did a little, uh, shoot shoot of, of the pictures in the St in the, uh, boutique. And I thought it was a lot of fun and I hope you got good feedback from it. Speaker 3 00:03:32 Yeah. I definitely had, uh, friends like messaging me and people just reaching out saying like how they were so appreciative of that. So that was really awesome. Speaker 2 00:03:42 I think that, you know, I think that, that from my experience, you know, I like to send stuff to customers on occasion to, you know, people. And I think it's just a nice way to like, you know, say hi and to be a creep and like to look through people's pictures. Yeah. I'm trying to get, trying to get some people to, <laugh> try to get people to, uh, to help me out on that sort of thing. But it is, you know, I I've gotten the great feedback personally. And like I said, every seems like every other week I get like a message. That just means a lot to me. So I'm glad that like people, yeah. Sorry, tried something new. You wrote all the notes that, yeah. That made my life easier. Everyone got the right picture Speaker 3 00:04:19 Too. Yeah, I know. I know. That was how Speaker 2 00:04:20 That was. I think I always, this Speaker 3 00:04:22 Might be awkward if a random person kept someone else's but Speaker 2 00:04:26 Every everyone got Speaker 3 00:04:27 The right one, everyone got the right one. That's what I, so that was like <laugh>. But that, that, that was really, really sweet. So, Speaker 2 00:04:33 Yeah. Awesome. And yeah, and then we, we ended up, uh, with a couple other pieces. We ended up hanging up and getting good feedback on those. Speaker 3 00:04:41 Yeah. And now, like, if you watch my Instagram stories. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know if you do, but if you see them, I, will you follow me like the whole background now the wall is all the picture frames that you got me. Yeah. So it's like, like you said, the like this little sign right here just like looks more homely. It looks so much nicer. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:04:58 So awesome. Speaker 3 00:04:59 Now I have a good backdrop for pictures. Speaker 2 00:05:01 Pictures. Perfect. Nice. You'll you'll have to tag us on that and we can get those reposted I or whatever. Seriously. That's one of Elizabeth's duties. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:05:09 Going through the stories, reposting, all the Speaker 3 00:05:11 Stories. Yeah. I tagging the social media GU, right? Yeah, yeah, Speaker 2 00:05:14 Yeah, yeah. Yeah. We're working and work just Speaker 3 00:05:16 You people can do that. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:05:18 Yeah. We we're just strategizing about how to get our TikTok account really. Oh Speaker 3 00:05:23 My God. I know. I do. You guys do real. You do reels. Beer's always so good. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:05:28 We do a bunch of reels, but like, we're not always posting on TikTok. It's kind Speaker 3 00:05:31 Of like, right. It's so hard. Yeah. Well, I mean, it's like, you have to time every little thing out exactly the way you want it, but Speaker 2 00:05:39 Yeah. You now, you Speaker 3 00:05:40 That's her generation. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:05:41 Yeah. <laugh> now you're having pretty good luck selling through selling through Instagram too. Speaker 3 00:05:46 Yeah, definitely. I think like I do all the stories, everything. I think it's just like a good way for people to obviously see the clothes. Yeah. Because it's one thing when you go into a store and it's on a hanger. Um, so for me, I'm always like doing stories and I like to bring in other people, other women for them to try it on. Yeah, too. Um, and then they can see like all the clothes on different body shapes. Yeah. Which I think is like really important for women, like different ages, different body shapes. Cuz they might see something on me and they're like, oh, that's like good for her, but that's not gonna look good on me. And then I have someone else trying it on and they're like, oh, okay. Like this can totally work for me. Yeah. So I think for that, like the stories are great. Speaker 2 00:06:25 Yeah. And you get a lot of, a lot of views, a lot of pretty Speaker 3 00:06:28 Good default. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:06:28 I, I Speaker 3 00:06:28 Don't know. I think Speaker 2 00:06:29 So it helps sell this stuff stuff, Speaker 3 00:06:32 But I, oh definitely. That's what everyone says. A lot of times they'll like, I'll post something and I'm thinking is anyone listening? And then they'll come into the store like a week or two later and be like, oh, that time you posted this, this and that. I'm like, okay, people are listening I guess. So, Speaker 4 00:06:45 I mean like, absolutely. Nothing's worse than like if you're shopping online and like the picture, like doesn't have a model. Right. Or if it does have one, it's like one girl she's like standing to this side, you're like, I don't know what this looks like. Speaker 3 00:06:56 Right. And everything looks so different on just a professional picture of a model than a does in person. Right. Yeah. And like my biggest thing is just trying things on. I always stress that to people because everything looks different on different body shapes and like you're not gonna know until you try it on. Right. Speaker 2 00:07:14 Yeah. I think that videos kind, I mean the stills too, like, like a still picture can be photoshopped. Right. You know, like if it's absolutely, I dunno. Maybe video can be photoshopped too. Is that, is that a thing or Speaker 4 00:07:25 TikTok has filters that make you look smash. You can do Speaker 3 00:07:28 That. Speaker 2 00:07:28 Anything now <laugh> yeah. Speaker 3 00:07:29 Right. I feel like NS, Speaker 2 00:07:30 We use we're using those filters so that I like good at all of our videos Speaker 4 00:07:34 Gives you a nice waste. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:07:37 Oh God. All then you know, I'm gonna look good in the, these talks. Um, you now, is it mainly just Instagram that you're using or Speaker 3 00:07:45 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I, I use a little bit of Facebook, but like I, I find Facebook to not be user friendly at all. Yeah. Do you, I mean, I know you just Speaker 2 00:07:52 Like do the live, I just do live videos, but, but like honestly the main reason I do the live videos is cause if I like to think about things or like I'm like sort of recording, like I'll end up having to do it like 10 times. Right. Right. And, and it's just a waste of time and like, I feel like it, like then I watch myself and I feel like I'm, I'm like, uh, like it's too like fake, you know, if I go live, if I do it live, like I don't even think most of the people that watch 'em it's not like they're seeing it when it's live. Right. But at least it like, it's like, I feel like it's authentic, but I mean, then I run into the problem that I just forget to record. I mean, I forget to mention things, you know, like, you know, and I'm like, oh yeah, Speaker 3 00:08:30 That's totally that's normal. Yeah. Yeah. But I think Instagram works for my customer and just like what I'm trying to achieve. Speaker 2 00:08:38 So yeah. We gotta get, we Speaker 3 00:08:40 I'm like, I'll just go with it. You know? Speaker 2 00:08:41 And I think it's very similar in the, into like to us in the sense, like, you know, this there's still shots, you know, provide something. But I think I can, I can also see like video being a better, like a more realistic looking thing. So like, so right. You see like the, from more than one angle. Speaker 3 00:08:58 Exactly. Yep. See, and then, right. And over time you just find new things to pair the top or the pants with. Yeah. So you're constantly sort of changing it, changing the style. And then, and someone once told me that people have to watch something on social media, like four or five times. Yeah. Before they wanna buy it. Yeah. Which I can totally see. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Speaker 2 00:09:21 Yeah. We're Speaker 3 00:09:22 Some things, you know, people will buy right away, but Speaker 2 00:09:25 They, they buy 'em directly through Instagram or do they have to like, come, do you, is it just like a lead and they come into the store? Speaker 3 00:09:31 No, I mean both, but Speaker 2 00:09:33 Yeah. So you have like an, do you have like the store set up or Speaker 3 00:09:36 It depends on the person, like where they live or where, or like what the situation is like I'll have people just say, okay, like I wanna buy that jacket. Mm-hmm <affirmative> can I come in next week and buy it? Or like I live in New Jersey. Yeah. Obviously I just ship it to them. So they'll just confirm with me over direct message and then I'll send them an invoice and then just ship it off to them. Yeah. Really Speaker 2 00:09:58 Easy. Cause we're trying to get the products listed. Right. Speaker 4 00:10:01 We have like the Instagram shop. So like the little white dot things and be like, oh, like I like this and they can just like buy it in the app. But like with clothes and frames, I mean, like, if it's a frame, you like, I like that. I want it put it in my house. Right. But like close, like maybe like, I feel like the DM is kind of like more personal. Yeah. Like I kind of like that. Speaker 3 00:10:21 Yeah. Right. And then like I always say to the women, I always try to get them into the store at least once. So I can really see what their body shape and size is. And then I can easily say to them, like this is, or isn't gonna fit you. But I mean, you know, we talk about it through direct message, just like, yep. How does this fit? How does this run? Like, do you have this in a size, small? Do you have in a size large? So it's just like a really great way to connect with people. Speaker 2 00:10:46 Yeah. But it's always good to have people, especially if they're local to get 'em in the door. Right. Speaker 3 00:10:50 That's what I always say. At least come in one time and then like, I get that you're busy. But once you come in, once we can just like style you from there. Speaker 2 00:10:57 Yeah. Well, one of the things that I, you know, I've always thought in, we've done like tons of events and I want to do more events here too. Just, just like you get people. If they walk through the door once it's like, you always have that, that initial fear is gone and this can be like, alright, well now I need something framed. Or like now for like, it's going into the France center, isn't like this great unknown. And like, you're worried that there's like this pushy salesperson there. That's gonna charge you, you know, like not get out the door without spending $500. Right. So it's like, you, you get the people in, in, I mean at first, and then it's like part of it's out of the, out of, out of the door or out the window. And then it's like, now the next time they come in and they interact with somebody, right. You kind of like, they realize that, all right, well it's not gonna be like this terrible experience that they've been fear. Speaker 3 00:11:47 Of course. Yeah. Right. And like, exactly. And just getting them. And I always say to them, like, I just want you to try everything on, like I'm bought you really don't have to buy everything. Like yeah. If you wanna buy everything great. But just try it on. Because half the time people walk out will walk out with something that like they had never intended to buy or something that they just thought would never look good on them. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:12:08 We get a similar thing to like a lot of times people will come in with something in mind for like how they want to frame something and right. You know, we have like a, we have plenty, plenty of people here that are artists and that have been framing stuff for like, I don't know, Scott, what do you got 20? Yeah. I mean, do we have plenty of people? Like yeah. 15, 18 years. Yeah. So we have, we have every, you know, everybody, no Speaker 3 00:12:30 Know what to do. Speaker 2 00:12:31 Yeah. But we also like sometimes, you know, I mean, I would imagine that you have the same sort of situation. Like someone comes in like, oh, I want this type of this color or something like that. And then it's like, oh, you try or, you know, in our place, it's just like you lay down a sample next to it. And all of a sudden like, oh yeah, that actually looks great. Exactly. And not what I had in mind. Right, Speaker 3 00:12:50 Right. Oh, Speaker 2 00:12:51 Definitely. So having like the, having somebody to guide you. Right. Um, I think is always helpful. I mean, again, it's also nice when you have a customer that comes in and they just, this is what I want and right. They leave and you know, right. It's a nice, quick transaction, but um, at the same time, part of the exp you know, part of going into a store, um, in person, I think it's like, it should be an experience. And like, that's why we had tried to make the experience fun and welcoming and play hockey. And you wanna shoot hockey parks. <laugh> you can go if you play Speaker 3 00:13:21 Hockey then. Speaker 2 00:13:21 Yeah. I mean, you know, Alex was down shooting hockey, parks. Speaker 3 00:13:25 He's he'll do you want anything shooting? Shoot. A hockey park, Speaker 2 00:13:27 Shoot a hockey. Yeah. And we, we put up some pictures of Adam, the brother-in-law we shot some PS at him. That was fun. Okay. Speaker 3 00:13:34 I think I realize that Speaker 2 00:13:35 That's fine. Oh, you, oh, do you? I asking Speaker 3 00:13:37 To see it. I Speaker 2 00:13:38 Gotta see it. I had some pictures of that. Yeah. I'll we'll dig up the footage. Uh, my God I'll show before you leave, we'll take you out back. We'll show you the you'll show you the, uh, the surface, you know? Speaker 3 00:13:49 Yeah. Is it still out? It's Speaker 2 00:13:50 In the parking. We were doing it in the parking lot. No, we moved it's over there to the back. You back behind the building. Yeah. We've actually gone so far as to put down some synthetic ice. You can actually wear skates back there if you really want to. Oh yeah. Speaker 3 00:14:03 Oh my goodness. Speaker 2 00:14:04 Guys have really stepped it up. Yeah. We're trying to, yeah. Maybe one of these years we'll actually have ice down by the, now that we cleared those trees out, out, out, back down, down at the end of the parking lot. Maybe we'll flood that and we'll, uh, have realized down there Speaker 3 00:14:19 Like a real rink. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:14:20 People that work there, Speaker 3 00:14:21 A long Alex, the build one for you. Speaker 2 00:14:22 Yeah. Or actually he does. Speaker 3 00:14:23 Do you guys have a rink at your Speaker 2 00:14:25 House? No. None at my house. Okay. I've thought about it. My, my at my house's not flat enough. Speaker 3 00:14:30 Oh, okay. Well Alex flattened the yard. Apparently. That's the thing. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:14:35 Yeah. Well, I'll have him down to in consult him on the, on, on this. Uh, maybe I have a guy he had to, you know, we had to like lay down a bunch of stone and uh, what dust or whatever the, uh, yeah, it was quite a process. It was a little bit, bit expensive, but I feel like I grew up like in this parking lot in the summers, like playing hockey. Yeah. Alex spent a lot of time here. Oh, did Alex and Adam, uh, we played like street hockey out there for ages and just telling a friend of mine who was out shooting hockey, pucks with me, uh, or checking out the surface the other day. It's like, I, I spent all that time there, like doing that in would help do stuff around here. And I kind of envisioned my son following in that, that, uh, he'll get dropped off here after school and I'll make him empty trash barrels and like clean stuff up. And then while he is waiting for me to finish, you can, uh, he will, he's 11 now he's 11 tomorrow. So Speaker 3 00:15:34 Maybe 11 tomorrow, tomorrow will be the day. He'll start <laugh> at 11. Speaker 2 00:15:39 I mean, I'm thinking like 13, 14, but you know, whatever. As soon as he's strong enough to lift one of the trash rails and bring it to the dumpster, it'll be like, it'll be like a workout. Right. It'll be. And when he is done with that, he can go shoot hockey box. You know, he'll make it the glass barrel though. That's the glass barrel. Not yet that that'll take once. He's like 15, 16, 16, 16. Yeah. Right. Yeah. I got him with a trainer. So like, you know, he'll be, he'll be there eventually. Oh my Speaker 3 00:16:06 God. That's funny. Speaker 2 00:16:08 Yeah. But you know that, I think that that's like, I don't know to mean to me. I'm kind of like nostalgic of it. Mm-hmm <affirmative> like, and for him, I think it, things have come of like a ways. And like now there's better, better ways to train or practice. Right. So it's more, but you know, it's also, I'd like to spend more time out there shooting hockey bucks. I'm sure that everyone, they works here would like me to like go outside to get the hell out and get away from moving stuff. Like giving him crazy ideas. But I think it's a fun thing. Your father-in-law was probably partly to blame. He's been down here. He shot hot hockey in the parking lot. Has, Speaker 3 00:16:43 Can he still do it? Yeah, Speaker 2 00:16:44 He did. All right. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:16:46 <laugh> he did. All right. He Speaker 2 00:16:48 Did. All right. I had a great picture. I I'll dig it up. I think for my Maureen posted. Cause Steve was like my coach in baseball. Oh, hockey baseball too. Okay. Oh yeah. I have a great, oh, I'll have to find the picture for you. Speaker 3 00:17:00 Did Alex and him get along? Like was there I think, yeah, they, I fighting, Speaker 2 00:17:04 I don't remember them fight them fighting much. I mean, I just remember we were like the worst team like ever. Oh Speaker 3 00:17:11 My God. Don't I feel like he would say the Speaker 2 00:17:14 Opposite. I'm gonna, I'm gonna have to find the yeah, no, I mean, me and Alex have discussed this, I think. No. I mean, I remember us being great. Yeah. You know, great athletes. Great. You know, great teams winning championships. Yeah. <laugh> um, I have a unbelievable picture. That's around here somewhere of I'll send it to you. Uh, of, of like us as like children, like, like farm. It was like farm league baseball. My brother's in it. Alex is in it. Adam's in it like Adam and John, my brother weren't like old enough to be on the team. But like Steve, he was the coach. Speaker 3 00:17:49 Is your brother older Speaker 2 00:17:50 Than my brother's younger. Okay. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:17:52 I feel like I saw him at big wi somewhere. He looks just like you, right? Uh, Speaker 2 00:17:56 He looks kinda Speaker 3 00:17:56 Like me. I mean, yeah. Speaker 2 00:17:57 I'm a little handsomer I think. Right? Speaker 3 00:18:00 Oh God. <laugh> right. Speaker 2 00:18:02 Also I have two brothers. Speaker 3 00:18:03 Oh, you have two? Speaker 2 00:18:04 I have two brothers. I'm better. Speaker 3 00:18:06 I'm Speaker 2 00:18:06 Better looking than both of them, by the way. Speaker 3 00:18:08 <laugh> right. Yeah, of course. Speaker 2 00:18:10 Right. Yeah. You know who side decides your check? Speaker 3 00:18:14 <laugh> Hey, do you guys all work? Do they both work? Speaker 2 00:18:17 Two? No, my brother John has a store in Norwood. Um, my brother, Matt is Speaker 3 00:18:20 Frame center store in Norwood. Okay. Speaker 2 00:18:22 Frame center, Norwood. Awesome. Matt. That works so works in real estate. Okay. Speaker 3 00:18:27 Totally different. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:18:29 I think Steve only coached me and John. Not Matt. He's not Matt too. He was too much younger. Yeah. Yeah. Even though he looks older than me, right? Elizabeth? Yeah. Speaker 3 00:18:36 LA Speaker 2 00:18:37 <laugh> um, Speaker 3 00:18:40 <laugh> she's she's trained. Well, yeah, Doug. Speaker 2 00:18:42 Well, this's too trained like this. These are like obvious. These are obvious answers. Speaker 3 00:18:46 This is struggling. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:18:49 You can't tell from the, like the look on her face that, uh, Speaker 3 00:18:51 This is authentic. This is a mm-hmm <affirmative>. Speaker 2 00:18:54 Yeah. Brainwashed. Everyone that works here to believe these things. Um, but no, like Steve was, he shot. I actually have a picture of him holding this picture cuz it's like blown up. Huge. Yep. And we all just look a little weird. Yeah. Right. Alex was a little crash on Speaker 3 00:19:11 Bed frame. Speaker 2 00:19:12 Yeah. It's framed. I'm gonna find it. I'll get you a copy. Oh my Speaker 3 00:19:14 God. Actually need it in my house. Speaker 2 00:19:15 It's right there. It's it's actually right there. Speaker 3 00:19:18 <laugh> is this planned? Speaker 2 00:19:21 No, no, Speaker 3 00:19:21 Absolutely. I used that so long ago for a post. My God. Yeah. Me too. That's Alex. Yeah. And that's his brother, Adam. Speaker 2 00:19:29 Yeah. And that's my brother, John right there. Speaker 3 00:19:32 Wait, I don't know where you are. Do I? Oh yes. Come on. Speaker 2 00:19:36 <laugh> Speaker 3 00:19:38 The hair. This one. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:19:40 Okay. I used to have hair that's like, but that's one of the, yeah. Speaker 3 00:19:43 I hadn't like fully looked through everyone yet. Speaker 2 00:19:47 I I've sent that picture to a few of the people that are in it for free frame Friday. I should probably send Speaker 3 00:19:52 A few more Speaker 2 00:19:54 <laugh> yeah. It's like classic. So I have a version of that. That's funny. Cause this a picture of the picture. That's why the reflection's up in top. But I have like a copy of it. That's like 24 by 36. Oh Speaker 3 00:20:05 You do? Yeah. Speaker 2 00:20:05 I have a picture of Steve actually holding it. I was, I, I think I've gotten like, uh, I've gotten a few of the people that are in that picture that have been here. Like if, if I know anybody that's in that picture and I know they're coming here, you I'll like, I'll like, yeah, I'll pull it aside. Like set. Cuz I want to, I want to have a collection of everybody in that picture. Holding the giant picture. <laugh> Speaker 3 00:20:31 Where were you guys? Speaker 2 00:20:32 I wanna say that. That was like firmly baseball. Seven or eight? Yeah, probably. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:20:38 <laugh> then Adam. Speaker 2 00:20:40 Yeah. Doesn't it look like? It looks like a team of like amazing baseball players. Doesn't it? Speaker 3 00:20:45 <laugh> Speaker 2 00:20:47 Wristbands. Speaker 3 00:20:48 It's like that movie to Sam. I was just thinking that I'm like, this is it right here, Sam lot. I'm Speaker 2 00:20:54 Try. I thought I had a, geez. I have a picture of Steve holding it. I, I must have put it on my Facebook or something. Not on my Instagram. We need more of that picture. Speaker 3 00:21:04 That's so nice. All right. I'll make copies right? That you get all these pictures for people. Speaker 2 00:21:09 Yeah, no. Yeah. This is a picture of, there's a picture of Alex delivering a net for me cuz he thought I should have, uh, been <laugh> now there's Steve there's there's Steve now. Speaker 3 00:21:19 Oh it is all right. Oh God. Oh my God. He's wearing a mat. Oh, was that? Speaker 2 00:21:23 That was that. Yeah. I was in the middle of COVID. I mean we were outside. Speaker 3 00:21:27 I know. But then it was like, ah, it's coming through the air from like Speaker 2 00:21:31 Actually he took his mask off for that. Oh Speaker 3 00:21:33 Yeah. That's funny. Speaker 2 00:21:34 And that one he is inside too. Oh Speaker 3 00:21:36 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:21:36 Yeah. So you can see, I have a nice big copy of that. I'll see if I can get a copy of that size for you. You guys can hanging at your house. Sounds Speaker 3 00:21:42 Good. Speaker 2 00:21:44 Alex will probably like, it sounds great. Speaker 3 00:21:46 No, Alex would love it. And that, that belongs in the basement of pictures that we have the basement frames. Speaker 2 00:21:53 Yeah. But I think that, that, I mean, I see a team like that. I feel like everyone in that picture should have a, a copy know. So I'll I'm gonna, I might Speaker 3 00:22:00 Do you know the rest of these guys now? Speaker 2 00:22:01 Yeah. I know who everyone in the picture is. I I've sent the guy on the, on the end. I sent him the copy of it. I'm gonna send, I sent a couple of you find everyone frames. So maybe they'll this will give us something to do in the next couple weeks. Elizabeth. Speaker 3 00:22:15 Everybody Speaker 2 00:22:16 Get, Speaker 3 00:22:17 Oh my God. An idea. Speaker 2 00:22:20 Yeah. I mean, I don't know where, I don't know where half of these people live, but I'm, I might start making bigger points. I mean, that's Speaker 3 00:22:26 What I did Speaker 2 00:22:27 For yeah. Some interviews, Speaker 3 00:22:28 Everyone just Googless everyone's at, I know that's you feel kind of creepy doing it, but I mean yeah. Speaker 2 00:22:33 You know, Speaker 3 00:22:34 It's out there, right? Like that's, Dave's used to creeping people's face. I mean, you obviously Speaker 2 00:22:38 Do that. Yeah. I do it all the time. Why not? You have to I'm I'm gonna get working Speaker 3 00:22:42 On this cause you want it to be a surprise. That's definitely. Yeah, exactly. Part of Speaker 2 00:22:46 It. Yeah. No, I think that that's the, that's the, you know, that's part of it, you know, people not having any, any idea and like, right. I was just talking about this. Yeah. Cause I talk about free frame Friday, a lot on Thursdays since uh, you know, in the process of it. I think that like unsolicited, like gestures of like, yeah, that are nice. I think are we need more of that? So that's, that's how I like got into like sending the things and now like a hundred percent, you know, working with people like, you know, I do some stuff with John from press. Like we send stuff every week, you know? Like his are one at a time. We're gonna try to like step that up a little bit, get a little bit, we have some ideas that we'll present to him. I like, I also like juice. So like that that's a, a good, uh, issue. Speaker 3 00:23:33 Oh, cuz you're a vegan, right? Speaker 2 00:23:34 Yeah. Yeah. Oh my goodness. So yeah. I like going over to his place. So he has options for, they Speaker 3 00:23:39 Have great stuff. They have great food. I've gotten a couple sandwiches too from Speaker 2 00:23:42 There. Yeah. Yeah. You're right around the corner. We stopped by. Did a live video after we left your place. We thought, yeah, that was fun. Yeah. Yeah. We'll we'll get over there. Me and Elizabeth have been kicking around some ideas for, you know, how we can incorporate more frames at, uh, at his place. But as, as I'm sure we can come up with some other ideas to cross promotes the frame center. Speaker 3 00:24:04 Yeah. I mean, I'll definitely be doing more events for sure. I don't know what exactly, but yeah. Um, I definitely wanna expand the fashion show next year. Speaker 2 00:24:13 The fashion. Yeah. We Speaker 3 00:24:14 Already bring in more businesses and more people Speaker 2 00:24:16 We'll send Elizabeth dad. Yeah. The Speaker 3 00:24:18 I'll Speaker 2 00:24:19 Elizabeth. She'll be my, I mean yeah. We'll send, we'll send Claude down. Takes some pictures. Speaker 3 00:24:24 Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. His pictures Speaker 2 00:24:26 Are great. Yeah. No he do. He does a great job on the, on those, you know, I don't know, reels or whatever reel Speaker 3 00:24:32 They cause like now reels are more the thing than TikTok, right? Yeah. Well like, I don't know. I guess it depends on, Speaker 4 00:24:38 I feel like now reels just gets pushed up more than pictures on Instagram. Cuz Instagram I'll see better than TikTok, so Speaker 3 00:24:44 Oh really? So they're like fighting, competing. Geez. Speaker 2 00:24:47 Yeah. It's crazy. It's Speaker 3 00:24:49 Like what did we do before social media? Mm-hmm <affirmative> does anyone know? Speaker 2 00:24:53 No, no print ads or catalogs catalogs, print ads that were like, you know, overly expensive. Probably. I don't know. Who knows. I don't, I, you know, the, I, the whole social media thing is very, you know, bizarre, but I think it gives us, I don't even know if it's hard to, it's hard to gauge like the, the feedback I get a lot of people that compliment our social media. Yeah. Same. I tell them, you know, it's all CLO and uh, Elizabeth and nothing to do with me. I'm just, I'm just, you know, the, I can yeah. And yeah. Just try to like suck people in the talks with me and get the most views. Speaker 4 00:25:28 Right. I know Dave's famous on TikTok. Really? They have the most views. Oh my videos of him talking in his house in like a hoodie Speaker 3 00:25:35 He's likes wall in the background. Speaker 2 00:25:39 I will, I have like these ideas, but I don't know if any of them work. I, Speaker 3 00:25:42 You don't really know. It's like, I get that all the time from people. Like, I love your stories. I love this and that. And then, but I mean, and then some things that I think are gonna be so great and wonderful. Like I feel like I get no feedback from yeah. And then some things that I post I'm like, well, this is stupid. Like, no one's gonna listen to this. What am I even saying? People are like, oh, I'll take that. That best. I'll buy that. And I'm like, what? But Speaker 2 00:26:06 Yeah, I will. I wanted to do videos of just like how to hang pictures. And part of the reason was like, Speaker 3 00:26:11 Yeah, because everyone needs to learn that Speaker 2 00:26:13 <laugh>. Yeah. Well, I mean in that and like, I mean, I don't, we do installations. I mean, we did, we went to airflow it's. I mean, sometimes it's fun. I was do Speaker 3 00:26:21 That. So I needed you to do Speaker 2 00:26:22 That sometimes. It's, I mean, it's fun. Like that was fun. But like, sometimes it's just like, not like the scheduling stuff is sometimes difficult. Sometimes people don't want to pay for it. They don't understand the, like that my time's worth money, you know? <laugh> but to Speaker 3 00:26:38 Schedule you to like, hang it Speaker 2 00:26:39 Up. Yeah. Ex but it's not that complicated. And I, I don't necessarily, like, I'm not trying to make a living by hanging pictures. I wanted to just sell pictures. Right. And I figured like, all right, well we'll do these videos. And maybe it'll like, so when somebody's like confused, we can just direct them to like, yeah. Right. Yeah. Or like, sometimes there's different hardware on it, but I don't know. Maybe we just need more videos or more like to do them over again. I don't know. We'll figure that out. But I, I felt like the tos, I was just like, all right, well, you know, if anyone wants to TikTok how to hang a pick or search a TikTok, I don't know. Yeah. You like looking at me like, I'm, you almost have, Speaker 3 00:27:18 Make it really easy for people to like find and, and read your video or whatever. But Speaker 2 00:27:25 I dunno. And I wanna do other videos about like, talking about artwork. Cause I feel like that's like an, I feel like I have a lot of like original artwork yeah. In my house and a lot of like connections with artists. So I want to do videos about that, where we've started the, uh, the tests on those so far. Mm-hmm <affirmative> but I, I think that, I don't know. I mean, to me, I think that's interesting I'd watch that, but I mean, who knows? I don't know if I'm the right person. Speaker 4 00:27:49 I thought they came out good. I think that's gonna be a good series and like a good thing to like keep doing and then like other people can do it and be like hopping on the trend and talking about the art in their homes and Speaker 3 00:28:00 Yeah, that's true. Speaker 2 00:28:02 Yeah. Maybe. So, we'll see. I think it's worth the shot. I, the other thing about social media, it's kind of fun to, you know, like to shoot hockey parks and like make videos of people shooting hockey, parks, right. Wearing frames. And t-shirts Speaker 4 00:28:14 The new hockey puck video coming Speaker 2 00:28:16 Soon. Yeah. Coming soon, the famous Eddie rose and the Duxbury, uh, Duxbury hockey fundraiser that we are, you know, supporting. Oh, okay. Yeah. You know, I mean, if you come looking for a donation for a hockey team, you have to like, you know, you're expected to shoot at least a couple hockey bucks. Speaker 3 00:28:32 <laugh> Speaker 2 00:28:34 Um, yeah. I dunno that I, I, I think some of that stuffs fun and I think it, maybe it gives people like, uh, um, an insight into like the personalities of some of the people. I wish that we had more people mm-hmm <affirmative> that work here that would be like, get in front of the camera. So it wouldn't be just me. But, um, you know, we have a few, Scott's been <laugh> the bone broth video. Scott sent some, yeah. Speaker 3 00:28:59 I don't understand what bone broth is. Speaker 2 00:29:01 Oh, these guys, I listen to the podcast. Eh, what Speaker 3 00:29:06 Does it taste like? Like Speaker 4 00:29:07 Chicken tastes like. Yeah. I mean, like, I think it does Speaker 3 00:29:11 Just like a soup warm soup. Yeah. Yeah. But what is it? Speaker 2 00:29:15 I don't know. It's like, I don't know. It has to do with bones and animals, so I'm not Nu into Speaker 4 00:29:20 It. I think you're like boiling, like the bones or something like that. Oh really? And like you drink it. It's like good for you. Speaker 3 00:29:26 Okay. I mean, I've heard great things to the podcast that it's, I Speaker 2 00:29:28 Know I'm podcast episode. I've Speaker 3 00:29:30 Heard great things about it. The Speaker 2 00:29:31 Farmer's market podcast with Melissa hail bone breath. Speaker 3 00:29:35 Yeah. I've seen that hill. Maybe. It's just, Speaker 2 00:29:37 Yeah. She's yeah. She's in handover too. That's yeah. She's the one that put together the farmer's market. We had her in a couple episodes back. Nice. And you know, she, these guys tested some bone, bro. We, uh, Speaker 3 00:29:49 We had, you guys liked it. So do you just drink it in replace of something or in addition or just whatever you want? Oh, Speaker 4 00:29:55 Whatever you want. Yeah. But like you can cook with it. I think too, like put it in stuff or just drink it plain. Speaker 2 00:30:00 Yeah. Yeah. These guys seem to like it. That's what I'm gonna use it for. Nice pop real. So, Speaker 3 00:30:05 Oh yeah. All right. Maybe I'll get some, try it out. Speaker 2 00:30:09 You should. Yeah. She was in, she like, you know, we, we had some talks with some artists. We also, um, I think that Marcy from living crew, I did I ever show you that magazine? I gotta give you a copy before you leave. Cause that's like someone you've done some advertising with. Yeah. Okay. That I, like I was saying to Alex that I thought would be, it might be a good fit for you too. Like you just Speaker 4 00:30:31 That'd be perfect. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:30:32 What magazine Speaker 4 00:30:33 Is it? Yeah, living crew. Okay. Speaker 2 00:30:34 Yeah. We started doing a bunch of stuff with them. She's supposed to come. Um, I think we'll get them on the podcast at some point too. Yeah. But you know that, I think they're great. And I think another one, you know, cause I, I told you like some of our demographic I think is very similar. Yeah. I think it might be a good one for a good one for you. Good to know. Yeah. It it, and if nothing else, it's an interesting magazine to look at. Yeah. Read. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:30:59 But absolutely. I mean, you gotta do all sorts of marketing. Anything really? Speaker 2 00:31:04 No, I think that's the social media media seems Speaker 3 00:31:06 Crazy. Like whatever. Just put yourself out there. Yeah. That's what I've learned. Speaker 2 00:31:11 Yeah. Nice. And what, uh, so one of the things we we're, when we have people on the podcast that we're trying to, we're trying to wrap it up with is to get you to tell us about the, your favorite thing that Uve either had framed here or favorite frame that you have at your house, put you on the spot. Speaker 3 00:31:29 This is, I have a few, I mean I'm, I guess I have to say my children <laugh> yeah. Cause you sent me frames for all four. My kids. Yep. Um, and Speaker 2 00:31:38 Yeah, you guys just keep pumping out kids. So I Speaker 3 00:31:41 Know we're done like back to it. Um, Speaker 2 00:31:44 Like I'll send him another picture of the new van, new Ford baby. <laugh> Speaker 3 00:31:48 I know you're like, guess how many da or whatever you said you wrote something funny about it. Like another Alfred girl, another frame, like same thing. No, Speaker 2 00:31:57 I mean, you guys gonna keep trying to get that boy right. With like a dozen girls. Speaker 3 00:32:01 We, we have a dozen girls, like four is a dozen. Trust me. <laugh> um, I think you did. He brought in a, a beautiful painting art that I won at an auction, like a long time ago. And it was just, and I had like, there's a big, huge wall in my living room that I didn't know what to put there for like a long time. Yep. And so anyway, I won this painting and an auction and then it just was sitting there for a while. And so for Christmas he brought it to you to Speaker 2 00:32:29 Get framed. Yeah. I remember Alex bringing that one in for Christmas. Speaker 3 00:32:32 I it's like beautiful. Like the colors are perfect. It's like, it's so perfect for that wall space. Speaker 2 00:32:37 You think Alex picked it out himself or? Speaker 3 00:32:40 No? <laugh> I don't Speaker 2 00:32:42 You having your doubt, but like Speaker 3 00:32:44 That's why he went with everything. So did he tell you what color scheme? Speaker 2 00:32:47 Uh, we, we have a lot of professionals here. Okay. That, no. Yeah. I just, Speaker 3 00:32:51 Yeah, but I Speaker 2 00:32:52 Know he might have come in. He might, you know, we're not gonna sell Alex Short. He might, he might have, you know, maybe he, you know, he has a little ender design thing. Speaker 3 00:33:01 Not he, he actually, he does. He has really good taste. Yeah. So I wouldn't be totally surprised, but Speaker 2 00:33:06 Whether or not he had any help here, we would never tell, you know, we, you give him all the credit. It was his idea is his, you know? Yes. I I'm glad. Yeah. That's you I'm glad that the favorite is, uh, something that we got to work on. That's a really good, vague was Speaker 3 00:33:21 Awesome. That's so nice. I was so surprised. Speaker 2 00:33:24 It's probably only slightly better than the, than the kids. I'm trying to remember the ones that we've sent you. I remember. Was it Sasha holding the hockey bag or is it uh, Speaker 3 00:33:32 Oh yeah. You've sent that Sloan. Yeah. Sloan Speaker 2 00:33:33 That's Sloan with the hockey bag. Speaker 3 00:33:35 Alex will probably tell you that's his favorite of Sloan Speaker 2 00:33:37 Yeah. With Speaker 3 00:33:38 The hockey stack. Um, and then you sent one of me and my sister at the store opening. So that was a good one. And then obviously the four babies. Um, Speaker 2 00:33:48 Yeah, I sent, I think I sent Steve a good one or there was Speaker 3 00:33:51 One of Sloan Santa was behind her. It was like a Santa Speaker 2 00:33:55 One. Yeah. That was the French under Sanders was right behind her. Speaker 3 00:33:58 Yeah. Okay. Speaker 2 00:33:59 Yep. Yeah. I love so you, I think, I think we've used that one. Uh, or I think we used that a couple Christmases ago was like just, um, cuz you know, obvi obviously I don't, I don't know what the, what they call that type of video, but it was like, yeah, I think we were trying to like get like the, the, like the picture and then it was like the framed, you know, framed picture. I don't, I'm not really sure that that even makes any sense what I'm saying, but yeah. <laugh> Speaker 3 00:34:25 Picture Speaker 2 00:34:26 What's that infinity picture, picture a picture in a picture? Uh, no, it was, it wasn't like an infinity picture. It was just like, I don't know. I don't know. I, I have these like these, these ideas that I don't know if they, if they translate well or not, but like it, it was like, I don't know. I, I want to do something with the like zooming out, but because the frame set of sign is in there. Yeah. I have pictures of, of my daughter next to the frames Speaker 3 00:34:49 To, yeah. Speaker 2 00:34:50 Okay. I kind of, it's kind of a must. Yeah. For me. Yeah. My son doesn't skate it that Rick that often. Speaker 3 00:34:56 Oh he doesn't when he does do make him. Speaker 2 00:34:58 Yeah. I'll make him stand next to that frame Speaker 3 00:35:00 Shot. He's like, oh dad, I don't Speaker 2 00:35:02 Wanna do that. Hopefully we maybe we'll maybe we'll approach. You have to Speaker 3 00:35:06 Go into all the hockey rinks then. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:35:07 You have to put your yeah. I mean I'd like to, but uh, thank you for coming in. Thanks. Thank Speaker 3 00:35:13 You for having me, you Speaker 2 00:35:14 Know, your first, first podcast. Yeah, I know we will, uh, cut some of this stuff off. We'll get, you know, uh, if you wanna take that picture too, you could bring that home Speaker 3 00:35:23 With you. I feel like you have to keep it. <laugh> <laugh> Speaker 2 00:35:26 Yeah. You want a bigger, you want a bigger version of that anyway, right? Another Speaker 3 00:35:30 One. That one doesn't have glass in it. Speaker 2 00:35:32 <laugh> yeah. It's gotta stay here. Awesome. Well, uh, Elizabeth, do you want, you want to, you want to take us out on this podcast? Take us out. Oh, you know like what Scott says at the end of these podcasts, Scott says, all right. That's it'll see you later. Thanks for joining us all. Speaker 0 00:35:58 Ya. Speaker 5 00:35:59 See ya. See ya. See ya. See.
